Carpet and Humidity
Humidity can have negative effects on your carpet. Carpet retains humidity. It can be a breeding ground for mold and mildew. Trapped moisture can cause a bad smell. Humidity can cause buckling and rippling in carpet. It can also cause the carpet fibers to weaken.
Delamination is when carpet separates from the backing. This can happen when carpet gets too wet.
