When to DIY and When to Hire a Professional
Many people are skipping the professional and doing home improvement projects themselves. If you are replacing your floors, should you hire a professional or DIY?
First be honest about your skill set. Have you ever installed a floor before? Do you know how to properly and safely use the tools that are needed to complete this job? Is the flooring floating or staple/nail or glue down?
Second check the time frame you have to get this project done. Does this have a timeline it needs to be completed in?Do you have time to get this project done before it needs to be? Are you prepared to handle unexpected surprises such as an unlevel subfloor?
The nice part about hiring a professional is all you have to do is choose the floor and make the payment. No need to get your hands dirty.
When choosing to DIY or hire a professional remember the end goal and what you want your floor to look like.
