Mapei Novoplan Easy Plus Self-Leveling Underlayment

Novoplan Easy Plus is a high-strength, self-leveling, calcium-aluminate-based underlayment and repair mix for interior concrete and engineer-approved floors. Its unique formulation allows for direct application on substrates that are clean, securely bonded, and properly primed — for leveling, smoothing, and repairing interior floors before installing tile, vinyl, or other resilient flooring.

Suitable for both residential and commercial applications, in renovation or new construction. Interior use only. Works as part of a full floor-prep system with compatible Mapei primers.

Meets compression and flatness requirements of ASTM F710 and ASTM F2873. Red List Free, verified against the current Living Building Challenge Red List. Self-curing; don't use a damp-cure method, and don't allow freshly installed material to freeze.

Does this need a primer first? Yes — the substrate must be clean, securely bonded, and properly primed with a compatible Mapei primer before application.

Can I use this as a moisture barrier? No — cement-based self-leveling underlayments don't reduce moisture vapor transmission from high-humidity slabs. Contact Mapei's Technical Services for waterproofing recommendations if needed.

Can this be the finished floor surface? No — cured Novoplan Easy Plus must be covered with a finished flooring system or floor covering.

What temperature does it need during installation? 50°F to 90°F, maintained for 48 hours before, during, and after application. Don't let it freeze once installed.
