Planiprep SC is a high-performance, polymer-modified, fiber-reinforced cement-based skimcoating and patching compound. Use it to skimcoat and smooth minor surface variations and defects on common substrates, creating a strong, durable surface ready for almost any floor covering.

Mixes easily with water to a creamy-smooth, easy-to-apply consistency that trowels on defect-free. Rapid-setting — fast-track flooring installations in as little as 30 to 60 minutes after application, depending on thickness and job-site conditions. Applies from featheredge up to 1" thick.

Use for skimcoating concrete and approved wood subfloors/underlayments, smoothing over screeds made from Mapecem, Mapecem Pronto, Topcem, or Topcem Pronto, skimming terrazzo, ceramic, and natural stone, and repairing steps, undulating floors, landings, and pillar edges. Rated for interior residential, commercial, heavy commercial, and institutional use.

How is this different from Planiprep PSC? Planiprep PSC is moisture-resistant; Planiprep SC isn't marketed for that. Both are fast-drying skimcoats — check your subfloor's moisture condition to pick the right one.

How thick can I apply this? Featheredge up to 1" thick in a single application.

How soon can I install flooring over it? Typically 30 to 60 minutes, depending on thickness and job-site temperature/humidity.

Can I use it over existing tile or terrazzo? Yes — it's approved for skimming and smoothing over terrazzo, ceramic, and natural stone.
