Mapei Ultraplan M20 Plus Quick-Setting Self-Leveling Underlayment

Ultraplan M20 Plus is a calcium-aluminate-based, quick-setting, self-leveling underlayment and topping built for resurfacing and constructing interior horizontal surfaces. High compressive strength with maximum resistance to wheel tracking and indentations — sturdy enough to double as a commercial wear topping in warehouse and industrial applications where a flat, smooth concrete surface matters.

Use it for leveling, smoothing, and repairing interior residential or commercial floors before installing flooring systems or coverings, fast-track resurfacing and construction of horizontal wear surfaces, and over radiant-heated floors (or to encapsulate hydronic/electric radiant heat systems).

Meets compression and flatness requirements of ASTM F710 and ASTM F2873. Red List Free, verified against the Living Building Challenge's current Red List.

Interior use only. Requires priming before application — check with the appropriate Mapei primer for your substrate. Self-curing; don't use a damp-cure method.

Does this need a primer first? Yes — all substrates must be properly prepared and primed with the appropriate Mapei primer, unless it's a crack-isolation or uncoupling membrane, which doesn't require priming.

Can I use it outdoors? No — Ultraplan M20 Plus is for interior use only.

Does it work over radiant heat? Yes — approved for use over radiant-heated floors, including encapsulating hydronic or electric radiant systems.

Can this be used as a moisture barrier? No — it's not a moisture mitigation product. Cement-based self-leveling underlayments don't reduce moisture. Contact Mapei's Technical Services for waterproofing recommendations if needed.
