Mapei Ultrabond ECO 980 Urethane Wood Flooring Adhesive

Ultrabond ECO 980 is a 100%-solids, one-component, moisture-cured urethane adhesive built for domestic and exotic solid and engineered wood flooring, including bamboo. No moisture-control claim on this one — it's a straightforward, durable bonding adhesive for standard installs.

Works with solid and engineered wood of any width and length, finger block parquet, acrylic-impregnated wood, laminated plank, and reground rubber or cork underlayments. Also approved for bonding to ceramic tile and stone in mixed-media installations.

Low-odor, negligible VOC, made with rapidly renewable raw materials. Trowels smooth with strong ridge holdout, so it stays put during install. Backed by Mapei's lifetime bond performance warranty.

Does this control moisture from concrete slabs?
No — ECO 980 is a bonding adhesive, not a moisture-control product. For slabs needing vapor control, use Ultrabond ECO 995.

Can I use it with rubber underlayment?
Yes — approved for reground rubber and cork underlayments.

Does it work over tile?
Yes — approved for bonding wood flooring over existing ceramic tile and stone in mixed-media installs.

What's the coverage rate?
