Selitstop Aluminum Foil Sealing Tape seals seams and gaps in underlayment installations, ensuring a vapor-tight barrier that a moisture barrier alone can't provide on its own. A vapor barrier is only as effective as its seams — Selitstop closes that gap.
Also useful for securing installed insulation underlays in place, preventing them from shifting during the flooring installation. Thin, foil-based construction cuts easily and doesn't add bulk to the underlayment beneath the finished floor.

Why do I need this if I already have a vapor barrier underlayment? A vapor barrier alone isn't enough — the seams and gaps between panels need to be sealed too, or moisture can still get through. This tape makes those seams vapor-tight.
Can this be repositioned once applied? On underlayment with a foil top layer, yes — it sticks securely but can be peeled up and repositioned if needed. Results may vary on underlayment without a foil surface.
How much flooring does one roll cover? One roll covers seams for up to 600 sq. ft. of installation.
What's it used for besides sealing seams? It also helps secure underlayment panels in place, keeping them from shifting during installation.
