Selitac Advanced
Selitac Advanced is a thermally insulating underlayment used for floating floor installations, including laminate and engineered hardwood. Made from fine-celled extruded polystyrene foam, it delivers excellent thermal insulation along with impact (transmitted) and in-room (reflective) sound insulation.
The new lip and tape feature makes the folding fanfold panels easier to work with than roll-type underlayment — panels lie flat and stay flat during installation instead of curling up. Superior compression strength protects non-glued laminate floors against damage at the seams, where floating floor locking systems can be compromised under load pressure. Also corrects minor subfloor imperfections and cracks.
Moisture and vapor proof, thanks to an advanced metalized protective moisture barrier that eliminates the possibility of damage from moisture or vapor penetration under normal installation conditions. When installed with any Shaw engineered hardwood or laminate, it extends the floor's wear warranty by 10 years.
