Mapei Keracolor U Premium Unsanded Grout — 10 lb.

Mapei Keracolor U is a premium-grade, pre-blended, polymer-modified unsanded Portland-cement tile grout that requires only the addition of water for mixing. It's formulated for narrow grout joints up to 1/8" (3 mm) — the right choice for wall tile, glass mosaic, polished stone, and any installation where sanded grout would scratch the tile surface or fail to pack properly into tight joints.

Contains BioBlock technology for mold and mildew resistance, and is approved for submerged conditions — swimming pools, spas, water features, and fountains — once fully cured after 21 days. Freeze-resistant after installation for year-round exterior use.

For increased stain resistance and flexibility, mix with Mapei UltraCare Grout Maximizer instead of water.

 What's the difference between Keracolor U and Keracolor S? Keracolor U is unsanded — designed for narrow joints up to 1/8". Keracolor S is sanded for joints 1/8" and wider. Using sanded grout in tight joints results in voids and missing grout over time; unsanded grout packs cleanly into narrow joints without scratching the tile face.

Can I use Keracolor U on polished stone? Yes — unsanded grout won't scratch polished marble, granite, or other sensitive stone surfaces, making it the right choice where Keracolor S would cause damage.

Can it be used on walls? Yes — it's well-suited for wall tile, backsplashes, and vertical surfaces where narrow joints are common.

How do I boost stain resistance? Mix with Mapei UltraCare Grout Maximizer instead of water. Do not add water when using Grout Maximizer.

Can it be used in a pool or spa? Yes — once fully cured after 21 days, Keracolor U is approved for submerged conditions including pools, spas, water features, and fountains.

Is it suitable for exterior use? Yes — freeze-resistant after installation and approved for exterior floors and walls.

Does it need to be sealed? Sealing is optional but recommended for high-traffic or high-moisture areas to extend the life of the grout joint.
