Mapei Granirapid Liquid Latex Additive, 2 Gallon

This is Component B of the Granirapid two-part mortar system — the ready-to-use acrylic latex liquid that mixes with Granirapid powder (Component A) to create a rapid-setting, flexible, high-strength tile mortar. Buy this alongside the Granirapid powder; neither component works alone.

Mixed together, the system delivers excellent adhesion, high deformation properties, and resistance to thermal and structural movement. Built for ceramic tile, porcelain tile, natural stone, and mosaics over a wide range of substrates — including demanding fast-track commercial jobs where early service matters.

EMICODE EC1 R Plus certified for very low emissions.

Can I use this liquid with a different mortar powder?
No — it's formulated specifically for the Granirapid two-component system. Use it with Granirapid powder only.

How much powder does one jug cover?
Mixing ratio is 25 kg powder to 5.5 kg liquid. Check quantities against your project size before ordering both components.

How long is it workable once mixed?
45-minute pot life, with a 20-minute open time before you need to set tile.

When can foot traffic resume?
Light foot traffic after 3–4 hours. Full use readiness at 24 hours.

 

Complete the system: add Granirapid White Powder (46 lb.) — this liquid won't set on its own. Mix ratio: 46 lbs. powder to 2 gals. liquid.
