Granirapid is a two-component, rapid-curing flexible mortar system built for fast-track tile jobs where you can't wait days for standard mortar to dry. It develops high early strength and handles the same demanding applications as standard flexible mortars — but cures fast enough to keep a project on schedule.

Mapei's High-Hydrated Cement Technology (HCT) gives Granirapid superior drying characteristics, so there's low residual moisture behind the tile after just 24 hours, without contributing to efflorescence. Works with a wide range of tile types, including porcelain and glass, and resists moisture and staining — a solid fit for kitchens, bathrooms, and other wet or high-traffic areas.

Comes as a two-part system: powder mixed with Mapei's liquid latex additive (sold separately). Paired with Ultracolor Plus FA grout, the finished install can handle water submersion in as little as 72 hours.

Does this come with the liquid component? No — Granirapid is a two-part system. The 50 lb gray powder is mixed with Mapei's Granirapid liquid latex additive, sold separately.

How is this different from the white version? Performance is identical — gray is the standard choice for most installs, while white is typically used for light, translucent, or glass tile where mortar color could show through.

Can I use it with glass tile? Yes, generally — but some glass tile backings aren't compatible. Check the tile manufacturer's recommendations and TCNA guidelines first.

How long can I work with it once mixed? 30 minutes pot life. Don't mix more than you can install in that window.
