Mapei Keracolor S Premium Sanded Grout — 25 lb.

Mapei Keracolor S is a premium-grade, pre-blended, polymer-modified sanded Portland-cement tile grout that requires only the addition of water for mixing. It will grout joints from 1/8" to 5/8" (3 to 16 mm). 

It's the reliable standard for most floor and wall tile installations — porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, quarry tile, brick pavers, dimensional stone, slate, granite, mosaic, and glass tile. Contains BioBlock® technology for mold and mildew resistance, and is approved for submerged conditions — swimming pools, spas, water features, and fountains — once fully cured after 21 days. Freeze-resistant after installation, making it suitable for exterior use year-round. 

For increased stain resistance and flexibility, Keracolor S can be mixed with Mapei UltraCare Grout Maximizer instead of water — one 25 lb. bag requires 64 oz. of Grout Maximizer.

What's the difference between Keracolor S and Keracolor U? Keracolor S is sanded — for joints 1/8" and wider. Keracolor U is unsanded — for narrow joints under 1/8". Using sanded grout in joints narrower than 1/8" will result in voids and missing grout over time.

Can I use it with polished stone? Not recommended. The sand in Keracolor S can scratch polished stone surfaces. Use Keracolor U or Ultracolor Plus FA for polished marble or other highly polished tile.

How do I boost stain resistance? Mix with Mapei UltraCare Grout Maximizer instead of water. One 25 lb bag requires 64 oz. of Grout Maximizer. Do not add water when using Grout Maximizer.

Can it be used in a pool or spa? Yes — once fully cured after 21 days, Keracolor S is approved for submerged conditions including pools, spas, water features, and fountains.

Is it suitable for exterior use? Yes — freeze-resistant after installation and approved for exterior floors and walls.

Does it need to be sealed? Sealing is optional but recommended for high-traffic or high-moisture areas to extend the life of the grout joint and improve stain resistance.

How many colors does it come in? 40 colors, with color-matched sanded caulk available for perimeter joints, corners, and transitions.

What tile types work with Keracolor S? Porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, dimensional stone, slate, granite, stone agglomerates, quarry tile, brick pavers, glass tile, clay tile, and ceramic mosaic.
