Mapei Mapelastic AquaDefense is a premixed, liquid-rubber waterproofing and crack-isolation membrane built for tile and stone installations in wet areas. It goes down as a thin, continuous barrier that protects adjacent rooms and floors below from water damage — and works in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. 

Dries in 30 to 50 minutes and is ready to receive polymer or epoxy mortar. Flood-test as a shower-pan liner after just 12 hours. Apply with a brush or roller over flat, curved, or irregular surfaces. Exceeds ANSI A118.10-LV and ANSI A118.12 standards and is IAPMO-listed for use as a shower-pan liner. 

For problem areas like coves, corners, cracks, and drains, pair it with Mapei Reinforcing Fabric or Mapeband accessories for added protection.
