Ultrabond ECO 3185 is a water-based latex adhesive built specifically for fastening carpet pad permanently to any flooring surface. Good initial tack and high strength keep padding from shifting during stretching or later use — no crawl, no bunching after install.

No solvent added and nonflammable, so it's suitable for enclosed spaces in occupied buildings without odor or fume concerns. Includes Mapei's BioBlock technology, tested to ASTM G21 standards, so it doesn't support mold, mildew, or fungal growth after installation (regular cleaning and maintenance still required).

Compatible with concrete, plywood, and other approved subfloors. Apply with a 1/4" bead in a zig-zag pattern, keeping 3–4 inches from walls and seams.

Can this be used over radiant-heated floors?
Yes, but don't turn the heat on until the adhesive is completely cured.

Is it safe for occupied buildings?
Yes — no solvent added and nonflammable, so it's suitable for enclosed environments without ventilation concerns.

What if adhesive gets on the carpet or pad surface?
Wipe it immediately with water while it's still wet. If it's already dried, use mineral spirits.

How is it applied?
Pour a 1/4" bead across the subfloor in a zig-zag pattern, staying 3–4 inches away from walls and seams.
