Mapei Ultrabond ECO 399 Adhesive
Ultrabond ECO 399 is a heavy-duty, pressure-sensitive adhesive built for a wide variety of resilient flooring types. High-moisture-resistant and heavy-rolling-load-resistant, with enhanced dimensional control properties to keep seams tight and gaps controlled over time. Also usable for flash-coving installations.
Approved for use with vinyl composition tile (VCT), luxury vinyl tile, luxury vinyl plank, vinyl enhanced tile, quartz tile, bio-based tile, fiberglass-reinforced vinyl sheet flooring, solid vinyl sheet flooring, reground rubber underlayment, rubber sheet and tile flooring, cork underlayment, and vinyl-backed and polyolefin-backed carpet tile.
Aggressive, pressure-sensitive tack develops after an open (flash) time — on nonporous substrates, let the adhesive sit 30 to 60 minutes or until dry to the touch before installing flooring; on porous substrates, flooring can go into semi-wet adhesive or wait for the same dry-to-touch window. Apply only as much as can be installed within 6 hours, and roll flooring with a 75 lb. or 100 lb. roller once set.
Water-based, low-VOC. Cleans up with water while the adhesive is fresh.
