Mapei UltraCare Grout Maximizer, 64 oz

UltraCare Grout Maximizer is a neutral-pH, fluoro-based liquid polymer admixture used in place of water when mixing Keracolor S Sanded Grout or Keracolor U Unsanded Grout. It's not a sealer and won't work applied topically — it's a mix-in additive only, formulated specifically for these two Mapei grouts.

Improves resistance to water and oil-based stains, increases grout hardness, and improves color consistency. Also reduces water absorption, improves flexural and compressive strength, and reduces shrinkage in the finished grout. No second trip to seal — one less step for installers, one less material line for the job.

One 64 oz bottle mixes with a 25 lb. bag of Keracolor S Sanded Grout.

Can I use this as a topical sealer? No — it only works mixed into the grout. Applied on top of finished grout, it won't do anything.

Does it work with any grout brand? No — it's formulated specifically for Mapei's Keracolor S and Keracolor U Portland-cement-based grouts.

Do I still need to seal the grout after installing? No — Grout Maximizer is built to eliminate that extra sealing trip.

How much do I need per bag of grout? 64 oz per 25 lb. bag of Keracolor S Sanded Grout. A smaller 26 oz size is available for the 10 lb. bag.
