UltraCare Penetrating Stone, Tile & Grout Sealer is an economical, natural-look, water-based penetrating sealer that protects against most common stains. The entry-level option in Mapei's penetrating sealer lineup — for jobs where the premium protection of Penetrating Plus isn't needed.

Built for all interior and exterior natural stone (marble, limestone, sandstone, slate, granite, travertine, and more), unglazed ceramic tile, masonry, and cement grout. Contains silicon as a siliconate ion and can be used as a pre-grouting sealer on porous surfaces before the grout goes in.

Shake well before use, and always test in an inconspicuous area first, waiting 12 hours to check results before full application.

How is this different from Penetrating Plus? This is the economical tier — protects against most common stains, but Penetrating Plus offers maximum protection for tougher stain sources like food, oils, and beverages.

Can I use it on ceramic tile? Yes, on unglazed ceramic tile specifically. For glazed porcelain or ceramic, check Mapei's Penetrating Plus SB formula instead.

Can I use it before grouting? Yes — it can be used as a pre-grouting sealer on porous surfaces.

Will it change the appearance of my stone? No — it's a natural-look sealer, so it protects without changing color or adding sheen.
