Tile Collection Cottage Cotto 6x6 Hexa Tile Matte
Tile and stone products are fragile, and it is normal to have some broken pieces during transit. You may receive up to 5% broken pieces. Please figure this potential breakage into your waste calculation.
Tile Collection Cottage Cotto 6x6 Hexagon Porcelain Tile – Matte
Cottage Cotto brings the look of old farmhouse terracotta to a porcelain tile. The warm, baked-clay red tone is washed and aged, with soft shading from piece to piece, so a finished floor reads like reclaimed cotto rather than new tile.
The hexagon shape works on floors and walls, from kitchen and mudroom floors to bathroom walls and backsplashes. Because it's porcelain, you get the rustic look without the sealing, staining, and upkeep of real terracotta.
Expect moderate (V3) shade variation. Shades are mixed randomly in each box, so pull from several boxes as you lay it out for an even blend. Size is nominal: the actual tile measures about 5.5" x 6.3" point to flat, so plan layouts and cuts from the actual dimensions.

Can I pair it with other tiles in the Cottage collection?
Yes. Cottage also comes in a 3x6 brick shape in the same five colors. Hex on the floor with brick on the wall is an easy way to coordinate a room.
Is it a good fit for a kitchen floor?
Yes. Porcelain holds up to foot traffic, spills, and dropped pans better than real terracotta, and the matte finish hides everyday dust and wear.
How do I finish the edges where hex meets a wall?
The hex edges get cut to a straight line at the wall. Baseboard or shoe molding covers the cut edge on floors. On walls, plan your layout so the cuts land in corners or under trim.
How do I clean it?
Sweep or vacuum, then mop with a pH-neutral tile cleaner. Skip oil soaps and harsh acids, which can dull the finish or leave a film.
Can I use it on a fireplace surround?
Yes. Porcelain doesn't burn and handles the heat around a fireplace opening, and the terracotta look suits a farmhouse or rustic hearth.
