Cottage Graphite is a small-format porcelain tile with the look of old, hand-made terracotta, finished in a deep charcoal gray. It's part of WOW Design's Cottage collection, made in Spain, which takes farmhouse-style tile and builds it in porcelain so it holds up in kitchens, baths, and mudrooms.

The tile is sold as a 3x6, but the actual size is 7 x 14 cm (about 2-3/4" x 5-1/2"). Edges are soft and slightly irregular, and the matte surface has a worn, lived-in texture. Shade variation is strong by design. Different tones are mixed randomly in each carton, so a finished wall or floor reads as handmade rather than uniform.

It's rated for both floors and walls. The small size works well for backsplashes, shower walls, and patterns like herringbone, basketweave, or stacked layouts. It's also frost resistant, with very low water absorption, so covered outdoor use is an option.

Pull tile from several cartons as you install to blend the shades evenly. Dry-lay a section first so you can see the variation before setting. If you want a second shape in the same color, Cottage Graphite also comes in a 6x6 hexagon.

Is this tile actually 3" x 6"?
No. 3x6 is the nominal size. The actual tile measures about 2-3/4" x 5-1/2". Plan layouts and cuts with the actual dimensions.

Can I use Cottage Graphite on a floor?
Yes. It's porcelain and rated for floors and walls, including kitchen and bathroom floors.

Why do the tiles look different from each other?
The color variation is intentional and meant to look like hand-made terracotta. Mix tiles from several cartons as you go so the shades are spread out evenly.

What grout color works with Graphite?
A charcoal or dark gray grout keeps the look calm. A lighter gray will show off the outline of each tile and the uneven edges.

Can it go outside?
It's frost resistant with very low water absorption, so it can handle exterior use. Covered areas like porches are the safest bet. Check local conditions and setting materials with your installer.
