Tile Collection Cottage Grey 3x6 Field Tile Matte
Tile and stone products are fragile, and it is normal to have some broken pieces during transit. You may receive up to 5% broken pieces. Please figure this potential breakage into your waste calculation.
Tile Collection Cottage Grey 3x6 Field Tile Matte
Cottage Grey is a small-format porcelain tile from WOW Design that takes its cues from old whitewashed terracotta. The grey colorway reads cool and weathered, with a handmade-brick shape and slightly uneven edges that give it an old-world feel.
It's glazed porcelain with water absorption of 0.5% or less, so it's rated for interior and exterior floors and walls. That covers kitchens, baths, shower walls, backsplashes, mudrooms, and covered patios. The matte surface carries an R10 slip rating, and the tile is frost resistant for outdoor use in cold climates.
Tone shifts from piece to piece, the way aged clay does. Pull from several cartons at once and dry-lay before setting so the color spreads evenly. The manufacturer recommends a tight grout joint of about 2 mm (roughly 1/16") and a modified thinset rather than traditional mortar. The small format works in a running bond, stacked, or herringbone layout.

Can I use this tile on a floor?
Yes. It's porcelain with an R10 slip rating and is rated for floors and walls.
Will every tile look the same?
No. Cottage Grey has V3 moderate shade variation, so expect noticeable tone differences between pieces. Blend tiles from several cartons as you install.
Can it go outside?
Yes. Water absorption is 0.5% or less and the tile is frost resistant, so it works on exterior floors and walls.
What grout joint should I use?
The manufacturer recommends about 2 mm (roughly 1/16"). A tight joint keeps the focus on the tile's texture and tone.
How many cartons do I need for a 30 Sq. Ft. backsplash?
Each carton covers 5.27 Sq. Ft., so 30 Sq. Ft. needs 6 cartons before waste. Add 10–15% for cuts and blending, which puts you at 7.
