Cottage White 6x6 Hexagon Porcelain Tile – Matte

Cottage White brings the look of old whitewashed terracotta to a hexagon tile that holds up like porcelain. The surface has a soft matte finish and a slightly aged, hand-made feel, so it reads as warm and lived-in rather than stark white. It's a good fit for farmhouse kitchens, mudrooms, bathroom floors and anywhere you want rustic character without the upkeep of real clay tile.

It's made in Spain and is rated for floors and walls, indoors and out, including showers and pool surrounds. Water absorption is under 0.5%, so it's frost resistant and won't soak up spills the way unglazed terracotta does.

Cottage White has moderate shade variation (V3), with tones mixed randomly in each box. Pull from several boxes as you lay it out so the color blends evenly across the floor or wall.

For installation, use a modified thin-set and grout made for porcelain, not traditional mortar. The manufacturer recommends a 2 mm (about 1/16") grout joint. 

Is Cottage White a true bright white?
No. It's an off-white with a washed, aged look and moderate shade variation, so expect some tiles to show warmer or grayer tones.

Can I use this hexagon tile on a shower floor?
Yes. It's rated for shower floors, with a DCOF above 0.42 and an R10 slip rating. The 5.5" x 6.3" size also gives you more grout lines than large-format tile, which adds grip underfoot.

Will it work outdoors in cold climates?
Yes. It's porcelain with water absorption under 0.5% and is rated frost resistant, so it can go on exterior floors and walls.

How many cartons do I need?
Each carton covers 4.68 Sq. Ft. Divide your square footage by 4.68, then add 10–15% for cuts and waste. Hexagons create more edge cuts than square tile, so lean toward the higher end.
