Delamination
Delamination is when the secondary backing of the carpet separates from the primary backing. Water, improper installation, pet urine, and heavy foot traffic can cause delamination. Delamination can be detected by ripples or seam separation. Delamination can not be fixed by re-stretching the carpet.
