Raintree Waterproof Hardwood

Raintree hardwood flooring is waterproof. A layer of real hardwood is protected by a Ninja Core H20 wear layer. It is dent resistant and is completely unaffected by moisture. Wall Base Materials

Crowning in Hardwood Floors

Crowning is when the center of the board is higher than the edges. Crowning can happen when the surface encounters too must moisture or is left in wet conditions for an extended period. The moisture can be pulled from the air or the subfloor. Running a dehumidifier can help remove the moisture.

Cupping in Hardwood Floors

Cupping is an environmental issue where the edges are higher than the center. The edges swell due to humidity, moisture or water. It can happen on both solid and engineered but is more likely to happen on solid. Depending on the severity it can be reserved with a dehumidifier.

End Cap

An end cap will transition from two surfaces that are not the same height, such as laminate to carpet. The end cap is a right-angle piece that will cover the top and side of the edge of the floor. One side is raised, and it caps off the flooring protect it from damage.  An end cap can be used to border off where a floor ends, like a doorway.
