Small Room? Make it Appear Bigger
Do you have a small room that you want to feel larger? Painting the walls a lighter color can make the small room feel larger. Same with the floor. If you use a lighter color flooring it can help make the room feel a lot bigger. Do not forget about the trim, using lighter color trim can help make the room appear larger as well. Using wider planks will make a small room look larger. If you are using tile select a 16” or 18” rather than a 12” tile. Using a larger tile means less grout lines, the more grout lines you have the busier the floor will look.

Red Oak vs White Oak
A lot of people think that the only difference between Red Oak and White Oak is the color. Although, the colors are different another large difference is the wood grain. Red oak has a more pronounced grain pattern where the White Oak has a smoother look. Red Oak tends to hide imperfections because of the wood grain better than White Oak. Red Oak has a pinkish undertone. White Oak has a yellowish-brownish undertone making it darker than Red Oak. Both types of Oak can help make your room stand out.
